How can I register?
Registration for our programs are available online.
Do classes fill up?
While popular programs and class times do fill up, as long as space remains available, some classes and programs will remain open for new enrollment throughout the season.
How do I know what level my child is at?
One of our Academy coaches will do an evaluation during their first lesson and determine what class they should be in.
How will I know my child is ready to move up to the next level?
Students progress on their own pace, are evaluated throughout the season and promoted to the next level when appropriate.
How many lessons do I have left?
Contact the Skating Academy's office at 917-492-3858.
When will I receive my membership card?
Student receive their membership card on their first day of lesson.
I don't have my card, can you check me in?
Students MUST have their cards in order to check in for lessons. If someone besides parents is bringing student, you MUST give the caregiver the membership card to check in.
I lost my card, can I get another one?
Yes, there is a $10 replacement fee.
I think I signed my child up for the wrong class?
No worries! Contact the Skating Academy's office and we will correct the issue.
Can I skate with my child? Can their siblings skate with them?
No! Only students enrolled in Skating Academy program can skate during their designated lesson/practice time. If you wish to skate, you may pay admission and rent skates during public session.
What if I am running late for my lesson?
Lessons are on a time schedule. You are still able to check in and join lessons but unfortunately you lose the minutes you are late.
I am unable to come to my registered class, can I come on another day?
If you are unable to make your class, please contact the Skating Academy's office 24 hours in advance to see if it is possible.
What happens when the weather is bad?
You may check the status of your skating program on days of inclement weather by logging on to our website: www.laskerrink.com Weather status updates can be found on the home page of our website. We also have an Instagram account dedicated to Skating Academy @laskerskatingschool.
What should my child wear during lessons?
Children under 7 years old are required to wear a helmet. Gloves are recommended since children may fall on the ice. Comfortable clothing and a hat is suggested.
What is your refund policy?
Lesson fees are non-refundable, but credit may be transferred to another skater or future skating season.
